MCM hosts Palapye Techincal College electrical students for educational tour
Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) had the pleasure of hosting a group of Fourth Year Electrical students and lecturers from Palapye Technical College for an insightful and engaging educational tour.
The visit formed part of the college’s ongoing efforts to expose learners to real world industrial environments, bridging the gap between classroom theory and practical application. They spent the day exploring our operations and interacting with industry professionals across various departments.
During the tour, the students were introduced to our electrical systems, safety protocols, and the technology that supports dependable and efficient mine operations. Our technical teams also took time to share knowledge, demonstrate equipment, and answer questions about career paths in the mining and energy sectors.
At MCM, we believe strongly in empowering the next generation of Botswana’s technical workforce. Partnerships with institutions like Palapye Technical College contribute to national skills development and ensure learners gain meaningful exposure to the world of work.
We appreciate the college for choosing MCM as a learning partner and commend the students for their enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the tour.
