MCM supports Serome Primary School through ICT Donation

As part of its ongoing commitment to community development, Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) partnered with Nashua Botswana to donate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment to Serorome Primary School in Palapye.

MCM contributed two computers, while Nashua Botswana donated a printer to enhance digital access and strengthen the school’s teaching and learning environment.

This initiative advances digital literacy and equips learners with essential technological skills required in today’s knowledge-driven environment.

During the handover, Guest Speaker Mr Moreri Sebonego, chairman of Sphala Runners Club, encouraged learners to remain focused on their studies and to utilise the resources responsibly in pursuit of academic excellence.

School Head Ms Itumeleng Sekwena expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the equipment will positively contribute to the school’s academic performance and operational capacity.

Kgosi of Serorome Ward, Kgosi Moses Segotso, commended the partnership and acknowledged the investment as a meaningful contribution toward empowering the community’s future leaders.

For MCM, investing in education remains a strategic priority. We are committed to delivering sustainable value beyond mining by supporting initiatives that strengthen communities and create long-term impact.
