Celebrating excellence at BUIST's 9th Graduation Ceremony
Botswana International University of Science & Technology - BIUST proudly hosted its 9th graduation ceremony, featuring Acting President of Botswana, His Honour Mr. Slumber Tsogwane, as the guest speaker. The BIUST graduates celebrated this significant milestone under the theme “Bridging Academia with Industry: Navigating Entrepreneurial Excellence in STEM.”
The Minister of Education and Skills Development addressed the graduates, emphasizing the importance of job creation and the need for training that prepares students for industry challenges. He praised BIUST for its commitment to quality education.
In his keynote address, the Acting President encouraged graduates to pursue their dreams and contribute to the nation’s Vision 2036, focusing on high-income status and innovation. He urged them to embrace research and development as vital tools for progress.
In closing, he congratulated the graduates, calling them "Change Makers" and reminding them that the future is bright and in their hands. He inspired them to see opportunities where others see obstacles and to remain genuine in their journeys.
