MCC participates at 2nd Annual Lake Ngami GM's Cycle Classic
From the seams to community development and stakeholder focus, Morupule Cycling Club (MCC) was proud to participate in the 2nd Annual Lake Ngami GM’s Cycle Classic, Maun. Eight cyclists from the MCC team stepped up to the challenge and took part in various race categories, including 10km run/walk, 30km, 60km, 106 Km and 140 Km races
The Khoemacau Copper Mining 2nd Annual Lake Ngami GM's Cycle Classic is a charity cycling challenge aimed at raising funds to support community development initiatives in the mine's area of influence - Sehithwa, Toteng, Komana, Legothwane, Bodibeng, Bothatogo, and Somelo villages. The official theme for this year's event was #cycling4communities. The event hosted 250 cyclists, marking an increase from inaugural 200 participants, which shows growth from the previous year.
The challenge brings together cycling enthusiasts, sponsors and supporters nationwide and neighboring countries all united in their commitment to making a difference in the lives of communities around Khoemacau Copper Mine.
Congratulations to MCC cyclists Moses Letlang who scooped position 1 in sub-veteran 140km race and Jamelia Keabetswe who scooped position 2 in the 106 Km youth category. 🏆
