CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE ASSESSMENT, DESIGN, AND PREPARATION OF DOCUMENTATION FOR THE RENOVATION & REPURPOSING OF THE OLD CLINIC BUILDING INTO OFFICE ACCOMODATION & THE RENOVATION AND EXTENSION OF THE MINE CANTEEN – MCM-FM-10-289-2608-CF-1

The Scope of Works (SoW) entails but not limited to the following:

Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) intends to renovate and repurpose the existing old clinic building into modern office accommodation, as well as renovate and extend the mine canteen. The Consultant shall undertake the following:

 

·       Site Inspection and Project Scoping

·       Comprehensive assessment of the existing clinic building to determine the current physical condition, functional suitability, structural integrity, existing building services, and overall potential for refurbishment, conversion, and expansion.

·       Assessment for Change of Use and Office Accommodation Suitability

·       Alternative Development Assessment and Design

·       Development of Conceptual Design

·       Development of Detailed Multidisciplinary Designs

·       Preparation of comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BoQ) based on the approved detailed design and specifications

·       Cost Estimates and Project Specifications

·       Preparation of Technical Documentation for Tendering

 

 

 

Tender documents will be shared with the tenderer upon receiving proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP 500.00 each only.

Site Visit

There shall be a compulsory site visit on 16th October 2026 @ 0800hrs. Prospective bidders are advised to send the full names and identity numbers of their visiting team members to MTiroyaone@mcm.co.bw  & copy MRamontsho@mcm.co.bw, on or before 14th October 2026 @ 1500hours.

The closing date for the receipt of tender submissions shall be 03rd November 2026 – 12:00noon. Tenders received after the closing date and time will not be considered.

 

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile or any other than the one stated above will not be considered. Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification. The services pertaining to this tender shall be run under Morupule Coal Mine General Conditions of Service, details of which are in the tender documents.
