Manufacturing and Supply of Dust Suppression for Morupule Coal Mine – MCM-BEN-02-0030-2409-CF-0
As part of the Citizen Economic Empowerment Programme (CEEP), Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) is pleased to invite tenders from well-established, 100% citizen-owned companies for the following projects. This Invitation to Tender (ITT) supports local industry development and inclusive economic growth, enabling citizen-owned enterprises to contribute to MCM’s operational needs and Botswana’s sustainable development. By facilitating these opportunities, MCM reinforces its commitment to transparency, fair competition, and community empowerment through supply chain engagement.
The scope of work (SOW) for this tender includes the manufacturing, supply, and delivery of a ready-to-use dust suppression chemical for a period of 60 months. The successful bidder must demonstrate the capability to produce, supply, and deliver a minimum of 30,000 litres of the dust suppression chemical monthly. The mine has a maximum storage capacity of 30,000 litres, and the contractor will be responsible for managing the storage tanks on site. Compliance with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) standards is mandatory. Interested bidders are invited to submit their proposals in accordance with the outlined specifications and requirements.
Tender documents will be shared with the Tenderer upon receiving proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP500.00 each or any of the above tenders only on or before 11 November 2024.

Site Visit:
The site visit shall take place on 12 November 2024 at 08:30hours. It is a pre-requisite that all bidders interested in the “Construction of Fuel Storage Facility plus Supply & Delivery of Fuel complete with management systems tender” (number 5 above), attend a site visit in order to familiarize themselves with the site, the scope of the services and the environmental conditions under which the services are to be performed. Representatives attending the site visit are required to arrange their own transport, and protective clothing, i.e., steel-toed boots, trousers and long-sleeved shirts).

Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification.
