GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION ASSESSMENT AND SITTING OF NEW POLLUTION MONITORING BOREHOLES: MOR/59/21/17-11

Morupule Coal Mine is owned by the Government of Botswana through the Minerals Development Company Botswana (MDCB) itself at 100% owned by the Government of Botswana. Morupule Coal Mine is located 14 km northwest of the urbanized village of Palapye (the fastest growing centre outside the capital city of Gaborone), along the Serowe-Palapye national highway (A14). MCM invites interested reputable and experienced companies to tender for the following:
1. ITT - Provision of Quality Monitoring Services for Potable Water, Food Safety & Waste Water: MOR/58/21/17-11
2. ITT - Groundwater Contamination Assessment and Sitting of New Pollution Monitoring Boreholes: MOR/59/21/17-11
Tender documents for the above tenders will be provided between Monday and Friday, from 0730hrs to 1630hrs, upon submission of proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP 250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Pula Only) to Contracts Administrator’s e-mail provided below. All tender documents will be e-mailed.
Pre Tender Meeting
A compulsory site visit for Provision of Quality Monitoring Services for Potable Water, Food Safety & Waste Water: MOR/58/21/17-11will be held on 12 January 2022 It is a pre-requisite that bidders attend a site visit in order to familiarize themselves with the site, the scope of the services and the environmental conditions under which the services are to be performed. Companies attending the site visit are required to register in advance by close of business on 10th January 2021 by sending names of one (1) representative per company for the site visit to kmongale@mcm.co.bw. They are also required to arrange their own transport, accommodation and protective clothing, i.e. hard hat, steel toed boots, reflective vest and goggles. COVID-19 Protocols shall also be observed as set by MCM and the Government of the Republic of Botswana. Only registered representatives will be admitted to the site visit.

Closing Date and Time
The closing date for the receipt of tender submissions shall be 21 January 2022 at 12:00 noon. Tenders received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile or emailed submissions will also not be considered. Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification. The services pertaining to this contract shall be run under Morupule Coal Mine General Conditions of Service, details of which are in the tender documents.
