 Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) is a mining company established in 1973 to mine and unlock true value of coal for all stakeholders. The MCM business is at the heart of a prosperous future for Botswana with coal production contributing significantly to the economic development of Botswana. The Mine is owned by the Minerals Development Company Botswana (MDCB) a mining investment entity of the Government of Botswana. Morupule Coal Mine is located 7 km northwest of the urbanised village of Palapye (the fastest growing centre outside the capital city of Gaborone), along the Serowe-Palapye national highway (A14). The company’s vision is ‘To be a partner of choice in the global coal transition’.

MCM wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced service providers to register as suppliers of goods and services at Morupule Coal Mine.

 Availability of Registration Forms and Supplier Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ): The Supplier Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) will be accessible exclusively online. Access is granted upon submission of the company's profile to MCM_SCMStandards@mcm.co.bw available from 1st June 2024 to 31st July 2024 midnight. Requests received after 31st July 2024, will not be processed.

Submission Instructions:

1.     Only Suppliers of the above outlined Products and Services need to apply.

2.     Applicants for supplier registration must submit their completed SAQ and all supporting documents by scanning and attaching them to the unique link provided upon receipt of the Questionnaire.

3.     Attachments must follow the sequence outlined in the checklist on page 13 of the SAQ.

4.     The deadline for submitting supplier applications is 30th September 2024, at 12:00 noon.

5.     Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

 

Submission Guidelines: Submissions via telegraph, telephone, telex, facsimile, or to any email other than the link provided will not be accepted. Please note that hard copies will not be accepted. Acceptance of applications is not binding on the company until officially confirmed through notification.
