Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) Ltd is a coal mining company established in 1973 to mine and transform coal into unlimited sources of energy. The MCM business is at the heart of a prosperous Botswana where coal production contributes significantly to the economic and social wellbeing of Batswana. Morupule Coal Mine is owned by the Minerals Development Company Botswana (MDCB) itself at 100% owned by the Government of Botswana. Morupule Coal Mine is located 14km northwest of the urbanized Palapye village (the fastest growing center outside the capital city of Gaborone), along the Serowe-Palapye national highway (A14). MCM invites interested reputable and experienced companies to tender for the following:
1. Provision of Security Services to Morupule Coal Mine Enquiry No: MOR/37/21/02-09
It is a pre-requisite of this tender that bidders attend a site visit in order to familiarize themselves with the site, the scope of the services and the environmental conditions under which the services are to be performed. The site visit shall take place on 14 September 2021 at 0830hours. Representatives attending the site visit are required to arrange their own transport, accommodation and protective clothing, i.e. hard hat, steel toed boots, reflective vest and goggles.
Tender documents may be collected from Morupule Coal Mine, Security office, along Palapye/ Serowe Road (A14), between Monday and Friday, from 0730hrs to 1630hrs, upon producing proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Pula Only).

Closing Date and Time
The closing date for the receipt of tender submissions shall be 28th September 2021 at 12:00 noon. Tenders received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile or emailed submissions will also not be considered. Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification. The services pertaining to this contract shall be run under Morupule Coal Mine General Conditions of Service, details of which are in the tender documents.
