Transportation And Customs Clearance of Coal from Palapye (Botswana) to Boksburg (South Africa) – (MOR/39/23/06-06)
The tender is for the supply of both transport and customs clearing services to transport up to 12 500 tons of coal per month from Morupule Coal Mine – Palapye to Scaw Metals in Boksburg South Africa. The coal will be transported in both bulk (side tippers) and bags (flat-beds and tautliners). The period is for a 3-year contract. Only companies who can demonstrate the following are invited to tender:
· Companies who have transport and customs clearance experience.
· The company must have 100% citizen ownership.
· Valid and current BURS tax clearance certificate.
· This tender is open to all qualifying companies irrespective of registration on MCM Database or not.
Tender documents will be shared with the Tenderer upon receiving proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP250.00 only on or before 13 June 2023 – 16:00hrs.

Site Visit
There is an optional site visit for bidders who intends to familiarise themselves with the site conditions. The optional site visit can be conducted on or before 12 June 2023 upon an official request by the bidder. Representatives attending the site visit are required to arrange their own transport, accommodation, and protective clothing, i.e., hard hat, steel-toed boots, reflective vest, trousers, and long-sleeved shirts).

The closing date for the receipt of tender submissions shall be 16 June 2023- 12:00 noon. Tenders received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile or emailed submissions other than the one stated above will not be considered. Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification. The services pertaining to this tender shall be run under Morupule Coal Mine General Conditions of Service, details of which are in the tender documents.
