Morupule Coal Mine is owned by the Minerals Development Company Botswana (MDCB) itself at 100% owned by the Government of Botswana. Morupule Coal Mine is located 14km northwest of the urbanized Palapye village (the fastest growing center outside the capital city of Gaborone), along the Serowe-Palapye national highway (A14). Reputable and experienced Citizen Owned companies are hereby invited to tender for the following;
1. ITT - Supply, Install and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Meters: MOR/28/21/09-07
2. ITT - MCM Treatment Plants Structural Assessment: MOR/29/21/09-07
Tender documents for the above tenders will be provided between Monday and Friday, from 0730hrs to 1630hrs, upon submission of proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP 250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Pula Only) to Contracts Administrator’s e-mail provided below. All tender documents will be e-mailed.
Pre Tender Meeting
It is a pre-requisite that bidders attend a site visit in order to familiarize themselves with the site, the scope of the services and the environmental conditions under which the services are to be performed. Representatives attending the site visit are required to arrange their own transport, accommodation and protective clothing, i.e. hard hat, steel toed boots, reflective vest and goggles. COVID-19 Protocols shall also be observed as set by MCM and the Government of the Republic of Botswana. Schedule of site visits is as follows;
1. ITT - Supply, Install and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Meters: MOR/28/21/09-07: The site visit shall take place on 24th June 2021 at 0900hrs
2. ITT - MCM Treatment Plants Structural Assessment: MOR/29/21/09-07: The site visit shall take place on 22nd June 2021 at 0900hrs

The closing date for the receipt of tender submissions shall be 9th July 2021 at 12:00 noon. Tenders received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile or emailed submissions will also not be considered. Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification. The services pertaining to this contract shall be run under Morupule Coal Mine General Conditions of Service, details of which are in the tender documents.
