Morupule Coal Mine promotes communinty wellness at Sherwood Annual Health Fair
Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) proudly took part in the Sherwood Annual Health Fair/Wellness Day at Sherwood Ranch football grounds. Organized by the District Multi-Sectoral AIDS Committee (DMSAC) in collaboration with the Lerala Village Multi-Sectoral AIDS Committee (VMSAC), the event aimed to provide vital health services to Tuli Block farmers and their workers. The week-long health fair focused on raising awareness and conducting screenings for HIV and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) across local farms. It served as a valuable platform for various organisations to engage with the community and promote healthier lifestyles.
MCM actively contributed by setting up an engaging stall, where representatives from the Wellness Office and Corporate Affairs Office interacted with attendees. The team shared insights on MCM’s dedication to employee wellness and community health initiatives. Beyond informative sessions, the day also encouraged physical activity, with attendees participating in a football match, making for a holistic wellness experience.
A key moment of the event was the keynote speech delivered by Hon. Dr. Kesitegile Gobotswang, Member of Parliament for Tswapong South, who underscored the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration in tackling public health challenges.
MCM remains dedicated to supporting wellness initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of our employees and the communities in which we operate. #Wellness #StakeholderFocus #ValueCreation
