Morupule Coal Mine welcomes BBS Executives
Morupule Coal Mine's bid to maintain cordial stakeholder relations has continued to see the organisation hosting various key and strategic engagements. These engagements have positioned the coal entity well for future collaborations with various organisations.
This week, BBS Managing Director Pedzani Tafa paid a courtesy call on the MCM Chief Executive Officer, Edwin Elias, to brief him on the new bank, progress it is making and to explore possible areas of collaboration. The Managing Director was accompanied by the Head of Marketing & Communications, Sipho Showa and the Head of Treasury Rebatho Moilwa who shared on the Bank's transition from its old services to a now fully-fledged bank which offers a bouquet of services. During the same sitting, the BBS team applauded the MCM team, noting they were impressed by the scale of MCM operations and the quantity of coal yet to be mined.
In his assessment of the visit, MCM CEO, Edwin Elias, summed up the engagement with the BBS team, saying they were key to the business. "We want to create value through all our engagements and therefore welcome possible areas of partnership and collaboration with a particular focus on our Citizen Economic Empowerment Programme (CEEP), our community development and more."
In that respect, the CEO appreciated BBS and paid homage to the bank in its transition to a modern bank.
