MCM Board of Directors applaud the mine and employees
The Board of Directors of Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) recently conducted a familiarisation tour of the mine’s operations, providing an opportunity to witness firsthand the progress, safety measures, and teamwork that drive MCM’s success. The visit was by Board Members Mboko Modie and Johannes Motshegare, who shared positive feedback following their tour of the facilities.
Mboko Modie commended the mine for its well-structured operations, noting that the tools, technology, and safety features in place reflect MCM’s commitment to operational excellence. She emphasised the spirit of teamwork and togetherness observed across all departments and praised the orderliness and safety protocols in every area, stating, “Everybody knows what they are doing, and the value of togetherness was clearly displayed. There is no exception in terms of safety.”
Similarly, Johannes Motshegare expressed appreciation for the impressive underground mining facilities and the cleanliness of the site. He highlighted the efficiency and teamwork demonstrated throughout the operation, commenting, “You are stronger as a team, and people clearly understand their roles very well. The transparency in operations is commendable, and everything runs smoothly.”
The directors concluded their tour by thanking the MCM team for their hard work and dedication, emphasising that the mine’s success lies in the synergy and professionalism displayed by all employees. Their observations reflect MCM’s commitment to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across its operations.
The familiarisation visit underscores the Board’s ongoing support for MCM’s vision to be a leading coal producer globally, with a focus on safe and efficient operations that align with global best practice.
