MCM-MIN-169-2512-CF-0: Provision of Blasting Services at Open Cast for Morupule Coal Mine
It is against this background that MCM invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit proposals for the supply, delivery, and execution of blasting services at its Open Cast Mine located in Palapye, Botswana. The contract will cover charging, blasting, supply of explosives, blast design, environmental monitoring, and related services to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective coal production. Compliance with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) standards is mandatory. Interested bidders are invited to submit their proposals in accordance with the outlined specifications and requirements.
The Contractor shall provide comprehensive blasting services at MCM Open Cast Mine, including but not limited to:
- Supply, delivery, and handling of explosives and initiating systems.
- Charging and stemming of blast holes.
- Design and execution of blasts to achieve optimum fragmentation and minimize environmental impact.
- Blast monitoring (vibration, fly rock, dust, noise).
- Submission of blast reports and continuous performance improvement.
Tender documents will be shared with the Tenderer upon receiving proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP500.00 only on or before 15 January 2025.

Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification.
