MCM Board onsite visit and strategic management

Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) recently hosted its Board of Directors for a site visit. The visit formed part of the Board’s ongoing oversight and engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening operational excellence and strategic alignment.

The programme included guided tours of the Opencast mine and the plant, where Board Members were taken through key operations, current projects, and performance updates. The visit provided valuable firsthand insight into MCM’s production processes, safety practices, and operational challenges, while also allowing for meaningful engagement with management on site.

The MCM Executive Committee (EXCO) was also in attendance, providing support and detailed briefings across various operational areas.

Following the site visits, the delegation convened for an evening dinner at the MCM Game Park, offering a relaxed setting for continued engagement and reflection on the day’s activities.

The visit concluded with a formal Board meeting held at the Majestic Five Hotel, where strategic matters and key decisions were deliberated.

Overall, the visit reinforced the Board’s commitment to strong governance, operational oversight, and the continued growth of Morupule Coal Mine.
